Abstract
Herbal women's health products have gained significant global attention in recent years due to increasing preference for natural, plant-based therapeutic approaches and rising awareness of preventive healthcare. This review highlights the regulatory landscape, global market trends, therapeutic applications, and future perspectives of herbal women's health products. The global market for these products is expanding rapidly due to increased consumer demand for natural alternatives, growth of the nutraceutical industry, e-commerce expansion, and rising trends in personalized healthcare. However, concerns related to product safety, adulteration, variability in phytochemical composition, and insufficient clinical validation remain significant barriers to widespread acceptance. Advancements in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, DNA barcoding, and metabolomics are improving quality assurance and authentication of herbal products, while pharmacovigilance systems are being strengthened globally to monitor adverse reactions and herb-drug interactions. Emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and machine learning are transforming herbal drug discovery, formulation optimization, and personalized medicine. Future perspectives emphasize the need for global regulatory harmonization, sustainable herbal sourcing, advanced scientific validation, and the adoption of Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP).
