A Practical Book of Systemic Pharmacology II
About This Book
This practical book has been carefully prepared to complement the theoretical knowledge acquired by students of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) V Semester. It aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application by providing structured experiments, relevant pharmacological exercises, and opportunities to develop analytical and interpretative skills. The contents have been organized to facilitate systematic learning and to strengthen students' understanding of drug actions, therapeutic responses, and the principles underlying pharmacological investigations.
Special emphasis has been placed on clarity, conceptual understanding, and a student-friendly presentation. The practical exercises encourage scientific observation, logical reasoning, accurate recording of results, and meaningful interpretation of experimental findings. Appropriate attention to laboratory safety, ethical considerations, and the responsible use of experimental methods runs throughout; where applicable, simulations, demonstrations and other appropriate alternatives are used to support learning while respecting ethical principles.
Prepared with reference to the new Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Syllabus 2026 and the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, this book promotes outcome-based learning and the development of the practical competencies required in pharmaceutical sciences. It is intended to serve as a useful resource for undergraduate pharmacy students and a supportive guide for teachers conducting pharmacology practical sessions.
